How to Farm Kina in AION 2: A Full Earning Route

Two Kinas and How to Count Income

AION 2 has regular Kina and Kina (Bound). They look almost identical when you receive them, but Bound Kina does not work in the player economy: you cannot pay for Exchange purchases or buy items from other players with it. When a cost accepts Bound Kina, it is spent first, which keeps your regular Kina untouched.

The Global version launched on October 5, 2026: free to play on PC through Steam and PURPLE, with a level cap of 45. Market prices swing hard in the first weeks as players upgrade and craft en masse. Treat every figure below as a rough guide, not a promise.

Measure your income in regular Kina and in items you can sell. Bound Kina is still useful because progression is expensive, but it makes a poor yardstick for comparing farms.

Odyle Energy and Dungeons

The most predictable income comes from Expeditions and Conquest dungeons, whose rewards are limited by Odyle Energy. It regenerates 15 points every 3 hours, which is 120 per day. The pool caps at 560 for free players and 840 for members, and regeneration stops once you hit the cap.

The main rule: never let energy sit at the cap. Every point left unspent is a reward you did not claim. The daily reset is at 7:00 UTC and the weekly reset is on Wednesdays at 7:00 UTC.

Dungeons are split into tiers. On Asian servers the second tier asks for about 1,400 Gear Score and the third for about 2,100. Popular targets there are Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island for tier two, and Fire Temple and Horn Den for tier three. Global leans on Item Level, so check the real thresholds and the dungeon list in the client's dungeon window.

Alts and the Weekly Ceiling

Every character has its own Odyle Energy pool. Five heroes gather five times as much energy per week as one, and each can run dungeons at its own level. Players on Asian servers estimated a main plus four alts at roughly 56.8 million Kina per week from dungeons, using Taiwan reward values. For Global that is only an order of magnitude, since rewards and prices differ.

The first week is the expensive one. According to player reports, bringing one alt to the tier two threshold takes about nine hours once the main is already geared. Avoid upgrading alt equipment before your main: enhancement stones matter more on the character that runs the most profitable dungeons.

For ordinary play, alts are optional. One well-geared character farms Kina just fine, and extra heroes make sense once your main already reaches the content you enjoy.

The Abyss and PvP Activities

The Abyss opens at level 45 with Item Level 1,000. Most guides put the time limit in Lower Reshanta at about 7 hours per week, so check the exact timer in game.

Regular mobs drop Kina, materials, gear, Manastones and Soulstones, all of which can be sold. You also collect Abyss Points. Taiwan players figured one point at around 18.4 Kina when buying materials and selling the finished Manastones. That rate depends entirely on server prices, so Global will differ.

Arenas and battlefields add points too. On Asian servers a battlefield gives 3,000 points for a win and 1,000 for participating, up to three times a week, while the arena gives 500 for a win with a limit of 30. Global values may differ. Remember that points also buy PvP gear, so decide what matters more before converting them into Kina.

Bosses and Rare Trophies

Bosses are a lottery. Some runs end empty-handed, but one lucky drop can repay hours of ordinary dungeon runs. Reward lists of bosses such as High Overseer Nutah and Enraged Guardian Lord Nahma include Unique gear, Refining Stones and Pantheon Artwork.

In Taiwan some Artwork was listed above 10 million Kina. Global prices will differ: the top gear grade at launch is Unique, and Season 1 has no Heroic items. Open a boss's reward table in game before you commit time.

The risks of this kind of farming are plain:

  • you may leave with nothing;

  • strong bosses need gear level or a party;

  • trophy prices move with the market.

Market, Crafting and Gathering

Before you vendor a trophy, check its Market price. On Global only members can buy on the Market, while free players can still list items for sale. The Kina-Quna Exchange is also members only, and there is no direct personal trading. Membership costs about $14.99 for 30 days and is tied to a server.

Price-check Refining Stones, Manastones, Soulstones, rare gear, Artwork and anything needed for Supply Requests. According to client data, the weekly request asks for Rare or Epic items, gear and gathered materials, so an ordinary piece can suddenly gain value.

Crafting pays when the finished item sells for more than the materials. Count costs at market prices and subtract Bound ingredients, since you cannot sell them anyway. One example from the database players cite: an Intermediate Manastone in Alchemy at Beginner Lv. 20 uses five Lesser Manastones, three Spiritstone Powder and two Bound Professional Ink, with a 20% chance to produce a Superior one.

Gathering is simpler: you sell what you collect. Many resources come in Fine, Pure and Radiant grades, and prices differ noticeably between them. Compare the current price with how fast you can collect the resource. A cheap material that drops in bulk can beat a rare one that sits unsold.

Smaller events fill in the picture. According to client data, Shugo Festival runs a different minigame every hour and pays out through keys. Hidden Cubes also need keys and give random loot, so treat them as a bonus, not a core income.

A Weekly Routine

Once your character reaches the level cap and a decent Item Level, the order falls into place:

  1. Spend Odyle Energy before it caps, on your best dungeons.

  2. Bring in alts once they clear content without trouble.

  3. Run the Abyss and finish limited activities.

  4. Check the Market before selling anything valuable.

  5. Craft and gather when the margin justifies the time.

  6. Leave bosses and events as a bonus.

After each weekly reset, recheck prices. They shift quickly early in Global, and the route that paid best yesterday may lose to another tomorrow.
