Apex Legends Season 30 tier list: choices for a coordinated trio

Marked changes squad selection through supplies, prepared positioning and new Legend tools. A team that understands where to recover and how to reach its next cover preserves more options than a group choosing three characters solely for an impressive tier label.

This Season 30 ranking is intended for a regular trio using voice communication after Marked Midseason. It includes all 28 Legends. Placements are editorial choices for coordinated actions, rather than measured server statistics or a mandatory professional pick list.

Tier differences reflect value within a shared plan. S helps establish the composition, A addresses a chosen task, and B needs a narrower situation or particularly confident execution. Testing how three tools work together matters more than collecting three copies of the same strength.

What actually changes selection this season

At Marked’s launch, high-quality loot became less available, Arsenals received an activation delay and energy weapons moved to their own regenerating reserves. This increases the value of planned supplies and deliberate pauses between exchanges. It does not mean every match necessarily became slow: other squads’ decisions also determine the pace.

The second split increased healing availability and replenishment after Bin Reset. A ranking therefore cannot assume supplies are always exhausted or bin replenishment disappeared. Support helps when its tool produces an action: recover the group, take position and continue the match together.

Legend changes also matter more than old labels. Bloodhound received a new ultimate, Loba and Rampart gained improvements to existing tools, and Conduit and Catalyst received midseason usability changes. Restrictions on Axle and Seer alter the cost of a familiar engagement.

S: foundations for a coordinated plan

Legend

Why choose them for a regular trio

How to realise the value

Bloodhound

Information and new squad cloaking

Check the direction, call an exit and choose together when to fire

Lifeline

Reviving and recovering after a trade

Divide assistance and approach control; avoid surrendering space

Conduit

Temporary-shield support and Energy Barricade

Synchronise contact, recovery and the next pressure line

Loba

Black Market supplies and a personal bracelet

Set a restocking point and departure time instead of delaying for every item

Newcastle

Moving protection and work with a downed ally

Choose a rescue direction beforehand and cover the new position

Gibraltar

A dome for a specific shared action

Name its job before throwing: revive, healing, crossing or close combat

Caustic

Prepared confined space

Split entrance observation and preserve a route out of the position

Catalyst

Reorganising defence and crossing with Dark Veil

Reinforce the required area and explain where allies cross the wall

Lifeline, Conduit and Newcastle address different forms of recovery rather than representing the same support choice. The first lets you continue acting during a revive, the second sustains contact with a temporary resource, and the third changes the rescue position. Identify your recurring problem and choose accordingly.

Caustic and Catalyst rank highly specifically for a group that prepares a shared position. An uncoordinated team may leave their placed tools behind. Avoid stopping in a building simply because setup is convenient: the next Ring and potential flanks must remain part of the plan.

A: tools for the squad’s route and pace

Legend

Main job

What to coordinate before fighting

Alter

An additional passage and return option

The Void Nexus location and shared disengagement timing

Crypto

Drone reconnaissance and EMP preparation

When the operator returns to their weapon and who starts contact

Rampart

A prepared amplified firing line

Which angle is held and where protection moves next

Wattson

Fences and Interception Pylon for holding

Entrances, recovery location and time spent in position

Bangalore

Visibility control and area pressure

Which line smoke blocks and who crosses it

Pathfinder

Personal movement and a shared zipline route

The gathering point and order of taking height

Ash

Restricting a target and a one-way crossing

A confirmed target, destination cover and the next route

Valkyrie

Changing areas together with Skyward Dive

The gathering point, usable destination and route after landing

Fuse

Explosive pressure against cover

How teammates punish an opponent’s forced movement

Mad Maggie

Contesting a position and active engagement

The flank and safe timing for follow-up

Octane

Route tempo and Launch Pad

The destination and readiness of the teammate furthest behind

Crypto places higher here than in an assessment of simplicity for a random squad: a regular trio can assign observation and movement beforehand. That is an organisational advantage rather than a hidden ability bonus. If allies start shooting while you are distant and occupied with the drone, the intended plan has not been realised.

Rampart also benefits through coordination. Marked gave her faster wall deployment, improved Sheila movement and 50% faster Locked Hop-Up progress. Use those changes to occupy an angle in time rather than justify remaining forever beside the first wall placed.

B: need the right exchange and confident execution

Legend

When the choice fits

Main risk to the plan

Axle

The squad will practise movement and coordinated entries

A poorly sent Kickstart affects friendly players

Horizon

Access to height and pressure against grouped opponents are needed

One player ascends without shared follow-up

Wraith

Personal and squad disengagement routes are prepared early

Trying to build an exit after the fight is already lost

Revenant

A confirmed target exists for an aggressive engagement

Pursuit leaves the third teammate outside contact

Sparrow

Reconnaissance accompanies active personal angle changes

Information exists but the squad makes no decision

Vantage

A distant hit becomes a shared action

Distance separates the shooter from teammates’ immediate fight

Ballistic

Everyone will begin an armed exchange together

Tempest is used without a shared pressure target

Mirage

Deception serves a defined crossing or angle

Expecting a predictable response from every opponent

Seer

Observation and scans support prepared contact

Relying on the removed Tactical turn slow

None becomes useless because of a table row. For a regular-trio ranking, repeatability of shared action matters. If your player already executes a narrower tool confidently, compare its results with the composition’s problem before deciding whether to switch.

Bloodhound: using the rework

Distorted outline of a Legend affected by Allfather’s Cloak

Cloaking makes detection harder but leaves a visible distortion of the silhouette.

Allfather’s Cloak creates an 8-second cloaking area. Entrants gain 20% movement speed and threat vision; enemies receive the effect too. Cloak persists for up to 12 seconds after leaving. Firing, taking damage and most abilities break it, so determine your attack timing beforehand.

Bloodhound’s own abilities can be used without breaking cloak. Hidden Sight refreshes the Tactical when the ultimate is used and hides the scan pulse while cloaked. Bird’s Eye splits ravens toward the two nearest enemies from different squads. True Predator lets cloak return after firing temporarily interrupts it.

Account for midseason adjustments: Ring damage no longer breaks cloak, and scan snapshots disappear sooner. A marker supports a decision rather than proving the opponent still occupies that spot. The device also does not make entrants completely invisible: retain ordinary cover at the crossing’s end.

Restrictions you must account for

Valkyrie’s initial Missile Swarm damage fell from 25 to 15, while additional missiles retain 3 damage each. Skyward Dive height was reduced by 15%. Reassess a familiar route rather than treating this as automatic proof that every squad rotation became useless.

Axle’s Kickstart now affects herself and teammates. Axle takes damage, stun and displacement; allies receive stun and displacement without damage. The second split additionally reduced drone health and increased the ultimate’s base cooldown. Avoid launching it into a cramped exchange without accounting for friendly positions.

Seer no longer applies a turn slow with his Tactical. Catalyst lost immunity to another Catalyst’s abilities, while allies are no longer slowed or blinded when crossing her Dark Veil. These conditions change an entry or defence even when the ability’s name remains the same.

Loba’s Black Market recovers in 120 rather than 150 seconds. Conduit’s Energy Barricade deployment was reworked, and Fuse gained base-kit Knuckle Jump with reduced jump strength. Avoid selecting an upgrade solely for its familiar place in an old menu: check which action sequence the present option supports.

Four ways to build a trio

Bloodhound, Bangalore and Lifeline offer a learning composition for gathering information, changing visibility along an approach and recovering. Assign who calls the target and who watches the retreat. Avoid combining smoke and cloak unnecessarily when one tool is enough for the crossing.

Loba, Catalyst and Pathfinder support supplies, a prepared stopping point and the following route. Established defences should help the squad leave at the right moment rather than keep everyone inside an awkward Ring position because abilities were already spent.

Crypto, Ash and Conduit suit prepared contact: check the destination, call the exit and support a shared opening. This composition particularly depends on the drone operator announcing that observation is finished and they are ready to move with the group.

Gibraltar, Rampart and Valkyrie offer protection while stopped, a prepared firing line and squad travel. Before leaving, agree who gathers first and what covers the others. These are examples of assigning jobs rather than promises of the best composition on every map.

Beginner choices and revisiting the ranking

Bangalore, Conduit and Lifeline let you begin with a clear squad function. Fuse suits learning pressure against cover, and Pathfinder suits deliberate routing to a position. Loba teaches supply planning; Octane teaches preserving squad tempo despite personal speed. Choose one task and assess it after matches.

Do not treat the new cloak as a reason to abandon a familiar character immediately. Review three losses first: where resources ran out, why the squad separated and which action was not coordinated. If the problem recurs regardless of Legend, changing the ranking’s top row will not solve it by itself.

S and A differ here through the breadth of a useful shared plan rather than guaranteed win probability. Reconsider the composition after a relevant ability changes or a squad problem repeats. A useful tier list supplies a question to test next session rather than replacing that test.
