ARC Raiders Turbine: How to Beat the Flying Boss
What ARC Turbine Is and Why You Should Not Rush It
ARC Turbine is a flying ARC that hovers over Riven Tides, the western coast of the Rust Belt, and defends itself against anyone who comes close. Players rank it among the most approachable large ARCs with a boss-style reward: it can be taken down solo, but one mistake ends a run in seconds. It is more dangerous than ordinary ARCs and, by community estimates, easier than the Queen.
The fight pays out crafting materials and one unique item, the Turbine Compressor. It was required for stage 5 of the Avian Alarm project and, according to player reports, for building the Powered Descender gadget.
Information is current as of 10/18/2026. This guide is based on spring 2026 player breakdowns. Since then patch 1.27.0 (May 5) changed Turbine visibility and landing behavior, and Frozen Trail 2.0 (October 8) adjusted gadgets and weapons. Some details may have shifted, so confirm them in a raid.
Where and When Turbine Appears
Turbine lives on Riven Tides, which arrived on April 28, 2026 with update 1.26.0. It was the first new map since Stella Montis in November 2025. Two landmarks come up below: the Panorama Azzurro hotel and Azzurro Beach.

According to player reports, more than one Turbine can be on the map, and they show up in the second half of a raid, roughly between minute 13 and minute 16. The timing is not fixed. If no ARC has appeared by then, there is little point waiting for the timer to run out. Head back to Speranza and queue again.
One more caveat about relevance. How often Riven Tides is in the current rotation, and whether Turbine changed after May, may differ from what is described here. Plan the run so that meeting it is a bonus rather than the only goal.
Loadout for the Turbine Fight
Below is community advice built on early testing, not on official damage tables. The idea is simple: armor-piercing firepower, plenty of healing and cover close by.
Slot | What players bring | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
Primary weapon | Jupiter, Equalizer or Bettina | Punch through the rotating armor plates and reach weak points |
Grenade | Deadline | Explosive damage on a landed ARC |
Healing | Blue bandages or Healing Spray, a stack of shield rechargers | Survive lightning rocket hits |
Augments | Looting Mk. 3 (Safekeeper), Tactical Mk. 3 (Defensive) | Stow a valuable weapon fast and restore shields |
Utility | Barricade, Snap Hook, Powered Descender | Cover in the open and aggressive climbs |
Ammo needs depend on your approach. By rough estimates from player testing, Jupiter takes about 60 shots, which means 12-14 energy clips, while Equalizer needs 6-8. Treat that as a rough guide, not a rule.
Jupiter and Equalizer are Legendary-tier weapons and not easy to find. If you do not own the model you want, look at weapon blueprints and check whether you can craft it. Also look at the skill tree, and keep in mind that your pace of leveling decides how fast the right perks unlock.
How Turbine Attacks
According to players, its toolkit is small, but every move hurts. Descriptions are still few, so the list may be incomplete.
Self-homing lightning rockets. The ARC fires a ball that splits into several rockets. They chase the nearest targets, explode and shock you. According to players, one rocket can strip a full blue shield and take about half your health.
Landmines. After landing, Turbine reportedly scatters mines around itself that trigger within about 10 meters.

While airborne it reportedly fires almost without pause. Once it lands, the damage window is brief, so use it right away.
The Cover Strategy
The most direct approach is hide and seek. Pick a building with doors that shields you from the barrage and step out only when the ARC stops shooting. Lightning rockets deal area damage, so open ground is the worst place to meet it.
Take cover near the area where the ARC circles overhead.
Wait for a lull in the barrage and move straight to a firing position.
Hit armor and weak points until it locks on again, then return behind the wall.
Heal indoors, never in the open.
Players note that Turbine's armor plates keep rotating, which makes focusing a single spot hard. That is why armor-piercing weapons, and Jupiter in particular, come up most often. Players describe it as a long-range, armor-piercing weapon.
Long Range and Close Quarters
Two approaches work. The first is shooting from afar. Choose a spot with a wide view, such as the Panorama Azzurro rooftop or Azzurro Beach, and keep your distance. Get too close and it answers with rockets. This burns more ammo but keeps you away from the rockets. Remember other raiders too: in such runs they are often more dangerous than the ARC.
The second is close combat, when Turbine lands next to a covered building. With Bettina or Deadline grenades you can hit the yellow canisters. According to players, the loop is: throw a Deadline, fire Bettina, retreat behind a wall until the ARC loses track of you, then repeat.
Long-range shortcuts are poorly documented, and landing behavior changed in patch 1.27.0, so do not count on them. The cover strategy is more reliable.
About gadgets: Snap Hook used to let players climb onto the target to hit the top of its body. After Frozen Trail 2.0 it has a shorter range and higher durability and power cost, so that route looks weaker today. The update also added Amplification, which affects Jupiter, Equalizer and Bettina, so check their numbers against the current patch.
Weak Points and Rewards
Players name the yellow canisters, visible while the ARC is landed, as the vulnerable spot.

The reward list from breakdowns: Advanced ARC Powercell, ARC Alloy, ARC Flex Rubber, ARC Motion Core, Launcher Ammo and Turbine Compressor. The last one is the only unique item.
Avian Alarm stage 5 asked for two Turbine Compressors, three Red Coral Jewelry, four Roots and one Leviathan's Crown. The rewards were the Bird House attachment, the Fist In Air emote, an Acoustic Guitar and 100 RT. The project ended in late May 2026, so today it is only a reference.
Powered Descender, as described, slows your fall and prevents fall damage. Its blueprint, by the same accounts, is found on Riven Tides. Crafting gadgets benefits from a crafting station upgrade, and the haul fits more comfortably in an expanded stash.
A Raid Plan in Short
Enter with a clear goal, bring a stock of healing and shield rechargers, find a building with doors before the ARC shows up and never start the fight in the open. After the kill, loot quickly and leave, since other raiders may be nearby.
