How to Move and Rebuild Your Base in Dune: Awakening — Full Guide

Step 1: Choose Your New Base Location
Before anything else, choose your new base location wisely. If you’re still in Hagga Basin South, you can check out location guides to find ideal spots with good resources and terrain.
Step 2: Pack Up Your Resources
Moving works much like it does in real life — pack up first!
Pro tip: We recommend staying in your starting base until you unlock the Sandbike. The Sandbike will make transporting materials much easier.
Once you have a Sandbike, craft the Sandbike Inventory Mk1 module. While this module isn’t required for the main storyline, it’s very useful for relocating your base.
-
Fabricate the module
-
Attach it to your bike using a Welding Torch
-
Open your bike’s inventory (press F key or ‘More’ option)
-
Load up all your crafting materials and heavier items
After filling the bike, empty the rest of your storage boxes into your character’s inventory. You may be able to move everything in one trip — if not, plan for a couple of runs.
Step 3: Save a Copy of Your Base
Dune: Awakening offers a fantastic tool called the Solido Replicator, which lets you save a projection of your current base layout and instantly rebuild it elsewhere.
Here’s how to use it:
-
Research the Solido Replicator in the Construction section of the Research menu (it’s the last item in the Salvage Products list).
-
Fabricate it for 20 Salvaged Metal
-
Equip it to your action bar
-
Stand outside your base, aim the device at your base, and select Copy Building
This will save a projection of your base. You can safely unequip the Solido Replicator — it will retain the saved projection until you decide to remove it.
Step 4: Deconstruct Your Old Base
Now that you’ve packed everything and saved a projection of your base, it’s time to deconstruct your old base and recover materials.
-
Use your Construction Tool
-
Navigate to Demolish mode (right-click to scroll through the menu)
-
Carefully demolish your base to retrieve materials
Important tip: If you couldn’t fit everything into your bike or inventory, wait to demolish the base until after you’ve moved everything to the new location — the materials from demolition also take up space!
Step 5: Rebuild Your Base in the New Location
You’re ready to move!
-
Place your Sub-Fief at your chosen new location
-
Use the Solido Replicator to deploy the saved projection and instantly rebuild your base
-
Move your stored resources and settle into your new home
Conclusion

Relocating your base in Dune: Awakening may seem like a daunting task at first, but with the right preparation and tools, it’s actually a smooth process. The Solido Replicator is an essential time-saver, allowing you to rebuild quickly and focus on what matters most — surviving and thriving on Arrakis.
