How to Get Mora in Genshin Impact: Farming and Spending

Mora pays for character levels, weapons, talents and artifacts. Questing can make the supply look comfortable, but several expensive upgrades in succession quickly change that. Separate urgent currency farming from the income you collect through normal account progress.

When a specific upgrade is blocked today, yellow Blossoms of Wealth are the most direct option. If you would rather spend Resin elsewhere, check quest rewards, daily commissions, the Battle Pass and available events. These activities serve different purposes rather than replacing one another completely.

This guide explains how to find the correct Ley Line Outcrops, choose a reward option, collect available Mora without Resin and avoid unnecessary spending. Read the reward preview in your own world: lowering World Level also affects Ley Line rewards.

Set the target before farming

Open the intended upgrade and check both its Mora cost and its material requirements. If talent books or a boss material are missing, a large currency balance will not complete the upgrade by itself. Record the cost of the next useful step and collect resources around that goal.

For example, establish a usable weapon and the relevant combat talent for a character you actually play. Raising five speculative artifacts or several reserve characters at the same time can drain your budget before the main team improves. This is a planning problem rather than a hidden currency trick.

Divide spending into essential progress and experimentation. A planned ascension or useful combat talent belongs in the first group; testing a questionable artifact or building a character without a team belongs in the second. Fund the first group before chasing the second.

Plan around one useful upgrade, then farm the remaining gap.

Blossoms of Wealth: targeted Mora farming

Blossoms of Wealth provide Mora in exchange for Resin. Do not confuse them with Blossoms of Revelation, whose main purpose is character EXP material. Mora's inventory description and source menu can direct you to the relevant target in the Adventurer's Handbook.

Travel to the marked Ley Line Outcrop, activate its challenge, defeat the enemies and claim the reward from the blossom. Winning the encounter and collecting its reward are separate actions, so check your Resin before starting a long farming session. Find the next available location if you still need more.

A convenient team defeats ordinary enemy groups without a lengthy setup. Bring healing or shielding if you repeatedly need to return to a Statue. Saving a few seconds on one encounter will not compensate for repeated deaths and unnecessary teleporting.

Do not lower World Level purely for easier farming without checking the consequences. Ley Line rewards change along with enemy difficulty. Improving your main damage dealer's weapon and accepting a slightly longer fight can be preferable to lowering your world.

Account for the Luna I Resin changes

The old reminder that Condensed Resin costs 40 Original Resin is outdated. After the Luna I changes, crafting it requires 60 Original Resin and claiming with it provides triple rewards. Interfaces normally costing 20 Original Resin also offer a 40-Resin option for double rewards.

The ordinary Original Resin storage cap is 200. Plan claims before the reserve fills, but do not confuse the storage limit with the cost of one reward.

This reduces repeated clears rather than granting free income per unit of Resin. Choose according to your available stock and preferred session length. Multiple reward claims after a single fight make the session shorter, but the total resource cost still matters.

Read the current claim button before confirming. A specific limited event may change reward conditions, but an ordinary weekend does not automatically mean bonus rewards. Do not budget around a doubling effect that is absent from the event screen.

Exploration

Collect rewards while pursuing other objectives

Exploring an entire region solely to pay for an immediate talent upgrade is generally less convenient than targeted Blossoms of Wealth. Exploration works well as background income: move toward a quest objective, mark unfinished areas and collect rewards along the way.

Check Battle Pass and event rewards manually. Meeting a requirement does not necessarily put the reward in your inventory automatically. Leaving claimable Mora inside a menu and then spending more Resin to replace it is an avoidable source of frustration.

Avoid destructive shortcuts

Do not destroy artifacts just because you ran out of Mora today. An item might have a suitable main stat, a rare combination of substats or a role on another character. Lock promising pieces first and review clearly unnecessary items afterwards.

Do not search merchants for a universal artifact-selling button: artifacts are not ordinary shop inventory. Check the actual interface result before converting items. Exchanging a limited currency has an opportunity cost too, because you may want it for another purpose later.

A practical daily sequence is simple: collect ready rewards, check the next upgrade cost, close the remaining currency gap with the necessary Blossoms of Wealth and stop. Spend the remaining Resin on the next genuine progression bottleneck.

FAQ

Where should I get Mora for one immediate upgrade?

Start with Blossoms of Wealth if you are willing to spend Resin. Check rewards already available in menus first; they may cover part of the gap without another run.

Does Condensed Resin increase value per Resin?

Its main benefit here is collecting several normal rewards after one clear. Triple rewards are not a free multiplier: crafting consumes 60 Original Resin.

Why is my reward different from another player's screenshot?

Check World Level, the chosen claim option and any active bonus event. A meaningful comparison requires matching conditions.

Should I keep stockpiling Mora indefinitely?

A reserve for upcoming upgrades helps, but there is no universal mandatory amount. When materials rather than currency are missing, spend Resin on those materials.
