Genshin Impact Lunoculus Locations: 271-Pin Route Plan

Genshin Impact Lunoculi are found in Nod-Krai and on the separate Frost Moon map. Full coverage requires more than the original islands: later mainland areas and quest-opened lunar interiors matter too. A common mistake is carefully clearing one map without ever switching to the other.

As checked on 15 October 2026, the working scope is 271 pins: 197 on the main map and 74 on Frost Moon. The split follows the two selected maps. Dunanna Pit belongs to the main map and must not be added again to the lunar count.

The following plan covers access, Luna Treasure Compass preparation, and rooms worth checking during quests. It helps build an accurate personal checklist, identify omissions, and distinguish close markers on different floors.

Earlier-version finds are already included

The number describes the Lunoculus category on these two maps in the current snapshot. Items collected in earlier versions belong within these 271; they are not extra additions. Keep Lunoculi, chests, and Luna Sigils on separate lists, since sharing a region does not make their reward systems interchangeable.

Display Lunoculi and the navigation tools needed for the current sector. A dense area can hide an icon underneath another object. Before moving on, verify that you marked an actual pickup rather than simply visiting the nearest waypoint.

Reach Nod-Krai and unlock Frost Moon

For initial Nod-Krai access, use the waypoint south of Nasha Town unlocked after Song of the Dragon and Freedom. Establish nearby waypoints and explore Hiisi, Lempo, and Paha in small sectors. An older island route is useful at the start, but it does not cover later expansions.

Dunanna Pit has an automatically unlocked waypoint southwest of Misty Shoal. It requires Adventure Rank 20 and completion of Archon Quest Prologue: Act III, Song of the Dragon and Freedom. Progress through Moon Gazing afterward to unlock the separate Frost Moon map.

Do not confuse Frostmoon Enclave with the lunar map. The Enclave is a mainland Meeting Point. Developing it helps local exploration, but does not mean every Frost Moon interior is already accessible.

Compare compass clues, elevation, and your notes

This is an exploration plan, not a mandatory item-by-item game sequence. On a partly explored account, begin with an accessible group of uncertain markers. Completing one sector produces a more reliable record than scattered visits that leave you unsure which objects were actually collected.

Handle surface and underground groups in separate small passes. Establish the ruin or cave entrance first, then match the target’s height. Approaching a sealed room using only its horizontal marker often brings you to a roof or external wall instead.

For interior targets, match both the room and the object’s elevation.

Example: a Lunoculus in the security control room

One Frost Moon interior contains a Lunoculus inside the security control room. It can be collected during Project Moongazer. Inspect the room and its upper features before following the next quest objective; the illustration shows the target centered within the beam arrangement.

For a nearby location, the security sequence involves going up the left side, activating a console, and then moving to the right to collect the Oculus. Do not merge these into one item because their markers are close and their interiors look similar. Compare the room and target position, then update the individual marker.

If the quest is already complete, use the open routes and the mechanisms’ current state. You do not need to reproduce an entire earlier scene. Check the accessible room, floor, and your collection record. Save a return note for any passage still blocked at your stage.

Unlock useful Luna Treasure Compass abilities

Unlike older regional tools, the Luna Treasure Compass unlocks abilities to display Oculi, treasure, and relevant clues through Meeting Point development. Inspect its current capabilities before cleanup. Crafting a Pyroculus Resonance Stone is not the solution to missing Lunoculi: it serves a different collectible and region.

The initial Meeting Points open after Where the Moon Rises and the associated quests To the Lighthouse, Problem-Sorting Robot, and Blessings of the Frost Moon. Contribute Luna Sigils and develop the available locations. In later areas, inspect the new local systems instead of assuming an early upgrade already covers everything everywhere.

The compass narrows a search but does not grant access to a room. If the target is not visible, check elevation, consoles, and unfinished quests. One successful activation does not confirm that every nearby marker has already been collected.

Find the final missing Lunoculi

  1. Select the main map and inspect incomplete sectors.

  2. Recheck quest-gated interiors and markers near multiple floors.

  3. Switch to Frost Moon and inspect its independent list.

  4. Hide unnecessary filters so nearby chests and waypoints do not cover icons.

  5. Compare remaining targets with compass abilities and available entrances.

  6. Mark each object only after actually receiving it.

If you started without records, reconstruct progress one area at a time. There is no need to immediately repeat all 271 visits. Start with uncertain locations near unfinished quests, control rooms, and tall structures, expanding the check only when necessary. A reliable list also remains useful when another map expansion arrives.

FAQ

How many Lunoculi should I track?

The two-map snapshot on 15 October 2026 contains 271 pins: 197 on the main map and 74 on Frost Moon.

Why does this map split differ from older version totals?

The figures are grouped by current map rather than patch. Dunanna Pit belongs to the main map; do not add its objects to Frost Moon again.

Does a Pyroculus Resonance Stone work here?

No. Use the map and unlocked Luna Treasure Compass abilities for local searching.

Do I need Moon Gazing?

Yes. Progress in that quest chain opens Frost Moon. Entering Nod-Krai alone does not unlock the full lunar map.
