Genshin Impact Pyroculus Locations: Maps and Route Plan

Pyroculi are found in Natlan, but collection is no longer limited to the original Version 5.0 territory. Include later expansions and the separate Ancient Sacred Mountain map when planning a route. Otherwise, a careful sweep of the main region can still leave an entire group outside the selected map.

The working collection target is 271 pins: 249 on Natlan’s main map and 22 on Ancient Sacred Mountain. Accurate tracking matters more than memorizing that number. Cliff tops, underground passages, and close markers on different heights are easy to confuse.

This route plan organizes the search by area, explains access checks, and uses the map and Pyroculus Resonance Stone for cleanup. Select the actual pins, read their access notes, and finish small areas in a controlled sequence.

These figures describe the corresponding map categories on 15 October 2026. They help check the route’s coverage; your collected list still needs accurate marking. Mark a Pyroculus after collecting it, not simply after visiting the icon.

Pyroculi and Pyro Sigils serve different systems. Offer Oculi to Natlan’s Statues of The Seven, while Pyro Sigils contribute to Tona’s Flame. Opening nearby chests is useful, but it does not replace collecting the Oculus itself.

Start with access and traversal

Completing Archon Quest Prologue: Act III, Song of the Dragon and Freedom, unlocks a waypoint east of Tequemecan Valley. Use it as an entrance, then establish a practical waypoint network. Later expansions also provide access points, so there is no need to walk across all of Natlan every time.

Learn Saurian Indwelling early. Local traversal often works better than trying to climb toward every high icon with an ordinary character. Bring an exploration party with comfortable recovery and enough combat ability for local enemies; a perfectly optimized short damage rotation is secondary here.

Entering an area does not automatically unlock every interior. When a World Quest or mechanism blocks the route, record a return note and finish accessible pins first. Climbing the outside of a structure repeatedly will not open its quest door.

A regional collection order

Stage

Areas

How to organize the pass

1

Tequemecan Valley and Basin of Unnumbered Flames

Start with available waypoints, separating upper ground from lower passages

2

Coatepec Mountain

Clear individual elevated sections from higher ground downward

3

Toyac Springs

Group coastal and distant locations instead of crossing water for isolated omissions

4

Tezcatepetonco Range, Quahuacan Cliff, and Ochkanatlan

Use suitable Saurians and open traversal routes before clearing high locations

5

Atocpan and Ancient Sacred Mountain

Track the mainland and separate map as different passes

6

Easybreeze Holiday Resort

Check it separately even if the older region was already explored

This is an organizational sequence, not a mandatory game order. If an open area has only a few uncertain pins, starting there is reasonable. For a new section, choose a route that ends at a waypoint or natural exit rather than forcing the same climb again.

Show Pyroculi and the navigation tools needed for the current section. Finish one compact group before selecting the next. Displaying chests, specialties, and enemies simultaneously makes layered Oculus markers harder to distinguish.

Access examples that reward the right approach

An airborne location in Ochkanatlan

For an airborne pin associated with a Phlogiston Wind Tunnel, indwell a Qucusaur and enter the local aerial route. Find the tunnel and a useful starting point before approaching the Oculus. Ordinary gliding can leave you below the target even when the horizontal direction is correct.

A passage opened by Tepetlisaurs

Near a bone structure and a waypoint, one cave route requires rescuing a group of Tepetlisaurs. Follow them afterward to the entrance, where they break the obstruction. If the icon has no obvious entrance from above, inspect this local sequence instead of searching only the slope over it.

A high structure near the Scions of the Canopy

For the elevated building location southeast of the tribal settlement, use a Yumkasaur’s movement ability. Starting from the settlement helps you identify the upper structure and approach it as a climb with useful stages. From ground level, the Oculus can appear to sit behind an inaccessible wall.

Ancient Sacred Mountain layers

A common kind of omission here is a ledge below an upper waypoint. If the horizontal location matches, inspect the space below and the adjacent level before climbing toward the summit again. A layered map requires a real height check, not only the correct compass direction.

Pyroculus high above a cliff and balloons

For an elevated target, establish the appropriate local approach first.

Use the Pyroculus Resonance Stone for cleanup

  1. Open Natlan’s Reputation rewards and inspect the requirements for the Pyroculus Resonance Stone diagram.

  2. Learn the diagram and craft the gadget using the material list shown in the game.

  3. Use it in the relevant region and follow the indicated search area and clues.

  4. Inside that area, check elevation, caves, and entrances instead of searching only the circle’s center.

  5. Mark the collected Oculus, then continue the next search.

A successful Oculus search has a two-minute cooldown. After the cooldown, you can abandon the current target and mark another when more than one eligible Oculus remains in the region. This helps with a temporarily blocked passage, but record the reason for returning so the deferred location is not forgotten.

The Pyro Treasure Compass and Pyroculus Resonance Stone are different gadgets. Use the Stone for missing Oculi and the Compass for treasure-related searches. One category is not a completion test for the other.

When the icon is visible but the Oculus is not

Confirm the map layer first. Then read the pin’s description for quest or mechanism requirements. When several Oculi are nearby, compare each individually: collecting one does not finish the entire cluster.

  • Check the separate Ancient Sacred Mountain map.

  • Look above and below the waypoint’s height.

  • Inspect cave entrances to the side of the icon.

  • Review unfinished World Quests in that area.

  • Confirm that your mark records collection rather than a visit.

If early collection happened without tracking, begin with a compact area and the Resonance Stone. Repeating the entire region from the beginning is rarely the most convenient first step. Rebuild the checklist through verified locations and keep it consistent afterward.

Check lower ledges even when the waypoint is above the target.

FAQ

How many Pyroculi should the route cover?

The two-map working target is 271: 249 on Natlan’s main map and 22 on Ancient Sacred Mountain.

Which later areas are easy to overlook?

Check Ochkanatlan, Atocpan, Easybreeze Holiday Resort, and the separate Ancient Sacred Mountain map even if you explored the original Natlan areas.

Can the Pyro Treasure Compass find Pyroculi?

Use the Pyroculus Resonance Stone for this task. The treasure compass handles a different search category.

Must every quest be finished before collecting?

No. Start in accessible areas, record blocked passages, and complete the associated quests as you progress.

Should I repeat the entire region for one missing Oculus?

First use the Resonance Stone, check the separate map, and revisit recorded access blocks. That is more targeted than immediately repeating everything.
