Introduction
Prepare for a thrilling showdown deep within Undermine! The infamous Goblin tycoon, Gallywix, has elevated his casino operations into a mechanized marvel. Sitting atop a sleek robotic suit, his powerful legs outshine even legendary fiery titans. Despite the flashy exterior, this encounter demands sharp focus and teamwork.
The battlefield erupts with bombs and fireworks, requiring players to carefully manage explosives. Coordination and timing are essential to prevent catastrophic explosions. Healers face extreme pressure due to healing absorbs caused by canisters players must manage. One misstep could mean total wipeout.
Fight Style: Primarily single-target with added mobs during intermissions.

Mechanics
Scatterblast Canisters
A frontal cone attack aimed at the tank, requiring multiple players to soak the damage together. Players soaking this gain a large absorb debuff that deals damage over time and explodes if not healed within 15 seconds.
Big Bad Buncha Bombs
Massive bomb piles drop on two random players, creating large circles that deal damage after exploding. Players must bait and move away quickly.
Bad Belated Boom
Small bombs scattered in the arena explode shortly after landing, dealing damage and applying Blast Burns stacks on hit players.
Sapper’s Satchel
Medium-sized bombs assigned to several players that must be dropped away from others. If hit by one, the player receives the same bomb effect.
1500-Pound Dud
A large bomb tanks must disarm by interacting with it, which deals heavy damage and knockback. When the damage-over-time ends, the raid takes minor damage.
Suppression
Small swirling effects that damage and apply a damage-over-time effect to players who are hit.
Trick Shots
The boss stacks this on the tank every 4 seconds. On target change or 10 stacks, it deals damage proportional to the stacks.
Charged Giga Bomb
Technicians spawn and drop charged bombs on death. Players must pick up these bombs and deliver them to Giga Coils to interrupt damage. Bombs left untouched or hit by Gallywix’s laser explode after 40 seconds.
Gatling Cannon
A damage ability on the tank that scales with distance. Gallywix remains stationary, so tanks should stay close.
Giga Coils
Activated coils deal raid-wide damage. Players must place one Charged Giga Bomb on a coil to interrupt the cast. Interrupting the same coil twice electrifies the area, preventing standing there.
Giga Blast
A large beam attack that increases coil damage with each cast. It destroys bombs if it hits them, causing massive raid damage.
Darkfuse Technicians
Adds that drop bombs upon death. They spawn circles to avoid and cast Juice It!, damaging nearby players and boosting technician damage. This can be interrupted.
Fused Canisters
Three players receive circles that explode after 6 seconds, applying a healing absorb debuff to anyone hit. At least four players must stand inside these circles to soak them safely. Failing to do so spreads the debuff raid-wide, making healing much harder.
TOTAL DESTRUCTION!!!
At 50% health, the boss shields himself and begins casting a massive raid-wide damage spell. This cast must be interrupted after the shield is broken, or the entire raid is wiped.
Radiant Electricity
Rotating laser beams around the boss deal heavy damage and stun any player caught in them.
Bigger Badder Bomb Blast
A huge bomb placed on the tank that deals massive damage in an area. The tank must move away from the raid while using strong defenses.
Overloaded Rockets
Players get a beam that fires three rockets in the beam’s direction. These rockets only hit other players, so it’s important to spread out and avoid firing rockets at teammates.
Tick-Tock Canisters
Three small canisters appear that must be soaked by at least four players each. Failure to soak spreads the healing absorb debuff to the entire raid.
Gallybux Finale Blast
The boss charges and releases a huge raid-wide damage burst. Damage decreases with distance, so players should run far away (up to 50 yards) to minimize harm.
Phase 1 Strategy
Split the raid into two equal groups that alternate soaking the frontal cone attack. Each group starts on opposite sides and moves back and forth between markers when forced by the bomb mechanics.
After getting hit, players gain a heavy absorb debuff that damages them over time and explodes if not healed, causing raid-wide damage. Rotate healing cooldowns to manage this safely.
Players must dodge swirling attacks during the frontal hits to avoid chain reactions caused by exploding absorbs, which can lead to wipes.
There are six frontal hits total — three per group.
Intermission 1 Strategy
At 100 energy, Gallywix enters his first intermission. Gather as a group to bait adds to stack and interrupt their damaging cast, Juice It!.
Dodge the boss’s beam by moving to the right (counter-clockwise) and gather adds for easier kill and bomb control.
One mobile player should quickly pick up a bomb and interrupt an active coil to end the intermission. Other bombs should be safely disposed of in the center hole or off the platform.
Speed is essential to minimize raid damage from coil beams.
Phase 2 Strategy
Gallywix moves to an edge of the platform; the raid follows.
Tanks handle the two “Duds” bombs, which must be disarmed and kept alive.
Players dodge swirls and mini bombs while preparing for the first set of Fused Canisters.
Split the raid into three groups (left, middle, right), each soaking their canister. Healers must quickly manage the resulting healing absorbs.
After soaking, Big Bad Buncha Bombs drop where the raid stands, forcing movement. Tanks should pick up the Duds promptly.
At the new location, players must avoid Sapper’s Satchel circles and soak a second canister set.
Use defensive cooldowns here, as the boss soon reaches 100 energy, triggering the next intermission.
Intermission 2 Strategy
Similar to the first intermission, but now all coils are active.
Bombs can be brought to any coil, but placing two bombs on the same coil electrifies the area, making it dangerous.
It’s recommended to vary coil targets for interrupts, but losing one part of the room isn’t fatal.
Phase 2 Continued
Gallywix remains in this phase until 50% health.
Mechanics here vary depending on health. Typically, you’ll soak three canisters while dodging a large bomb circle simultaneously — move together to manage this smoothly.
Below 52% health, the boss skips most mechanics except random swirls, allowing uninterrupted damage on the boss until Phase 3.
Phase 3 Strategy
At 50%, Gallywix shields himself and begins casting a devastating ability called TOTAL DESTRUCTION!!! If the cast completes, it results in a raid wipe.
Three rotating beams of electricity spin counter-clockwise around the boss, dealing heavy damage and stunning players caught in them.
Ranged players can avoid this by keeping distance; melee must move with the beams to stay safe.
Once the shield breaks, interrupt the boss’s cast before it finishes to prevent overwhelming raid damage.
This marks the start of the “real” Phase 3.
Phase 3 Mechanics Overview
In this phase, Gallywix cycles through a set of abilities in varying order as the fight progresses:
-
Tick-Tock Canisters
-
Overloaded Rockets
-
Gallybux Finale Blast
-
Bigger Badder Bomb Blast
Tick-Tock Canisters:
Three players get circles that must be soaked by at least four players to avoid a raid-wide healing absorb debuff. Use the same groups from Phase 2 for soaking.
Overloaded Rockets:
Players with this ability fire three rockets in the direction of their beam lines, hitting other players but not themselves. Move away from others and avoid standing in your own rocket lines.
Bigger Badder Bomb Blast:
This tank-targeted ability creates a damaging circle that follows the tank. The tank must move away from the raid and use strong defensive cooldowns. Afterwards, the raid will dodge multiple swirls.
Stay behind Gallywix as the boss also hits in a frontal cone, making positioning critical.
Gallybux Finale Blast:
This powerful raid-wide damage pulse forces players to run far away to reduce damage. The damage decreases with distance, nearly negating it at 50 yards. Standing close results in almost instant death. Always prioritize running away when this ability occurs.
Positioning Notes
-
Yellow zone near the boss is deadly; use strong personal defenses here.
-
Green zone, farther away, is generally safe from most damage.
Energy and Intermissions
When Gallywix reaches 100 energy, another intermission begins. This works similarly to previous ones:
-
Bombs must be placed on Coils to interrupt casts.
-
Avoid using the same Coil twice, as placing two bombs there electrifies that area, making it unusable.
-
However, if needed, reusing a Coil is acceptable since space remains elsewhere.
-
By the time you reach two intermissions in Phase 3, the boss should be close to defeat.
Summary and Final Tips
-
Team Composition: 2 Tanks, 5 Healers, 13 DPS is optimal. Consider adding extra healers for easier handling of healing absorbs.
-
Coordination: Communication and timing are key. Frontals must be alternated perfectly, and adds baited carefully.
-
Healing: Healers will be heavily challenged, especially during absorb effects from canisters. Prioritize quick and efficient healing.
-
Movement: Dodge all swirls, lasers, and bombs carefully. Staying mobile but coordinated prevents unnecessary damage.
-
Interruptions: Keep interrupts ready for Juice It!, the boss’s shield cast (TOTAL DESTRUCTION!!!), and timely stopping of coils.
-
Bomb Management: Assign specific players to pick up and place bombs quickly and safely, always aware of Coil electricity patterns.
-
Phases: Learn the rhythm of each phase to anticipate mechanics. The second and third phases ramp up in complexity, requiring sharp awareness.
-
Survivability: Tanks must use strong defensives on big bomb hits and manage positioning carefully to avoid raid damage.
Chrome King Gallywix on Heroic demands sharp teamwork, precise execution, and quick reactions. Master the mechanics, communicate effectively, and your raid will claim victory in the explosive heart of Undermine!
