47709-completion-rates-for-mythic-dungeons-week-2-of-the-war-within-season-2

Welcome to this detailed guide covering the Cinderbrew Meadery dungeon in Season 2 of The War Within. This walkthrough explains the abilities of all trash mobs and bosses you’ll face, alongside recommended strategies to help your team succeed. Although the focus is on the Mythic and Mythic+ difficulties, much of this advice applies to normal and heroic versions as well. Additionally, a friendly PUG route compatible with the Mythic Dungeon Tools addon will be provided for easy group planning.

Players with an interest in Mythic+ will find valuable insights throughout, including tips to optimize performance during each encounter. Whether you are a tank, healer, or damage dealer, this guide aims to prepare you for every challenge inside this dungeon.

Located near the entrance to the first boss room, a pot next to the fireplace offers an interactive element for players with at least 25 Khaz’golor skill in Cooking or Alchemy. Interacting with it grants Sticky Honey, a limited-use buff that adds a temporary action button for 3 minutes or until used. When activated, it applies a magic debuff to up to eight enemies or allies, reducing haste by 15% and movement speed by 80%. This effect can accidentally affect your teammates, so caution is advised when using it. The pot can be used three times before it is depleted.

Trash Mobs in the Brew Master Aldryr Area

When dealing with trash mobs in this first section, be mindful that some enemies may enrage and gain the Thirsty buff. This significantly increases their damage, posing a risk especially for tanks. To handle this, avoid pulling mobs with this buff, use crowd control abilities to interrupt or slow them, or be ready with tank cooldowns to mitigate damage.

  • Venture Company Patron:
Targets the tank with Mean Mug, applying a stacking bleed. Use defensive cooldowns and cleanse the bleed when necessary.

  • Venture Company Pyromaniac:
Applies Erupting Inferno on a random player, which is a magic debuff. Use dispels or defensive abilities if dispels are not available. This mob also channels Boiling Flames on a random target; interrupt or crowd control this to avoid damage.

  • Tasting Room Attendant:
Creates damaging ground circles called Cinderbrew Toss. Avoid standing in these.

  • Hired Muscle:
    Immune to crowd control effects.

  • Volatile Keg:
Applies a damage-over-time effect to the whole group. Avoid pulling more than one at once and have healing ready.

  • Chef Chewie:
This mob and other nearby enemies gain immunity to crowd control from its aura. Watch out for AoE attacks like Tenderize that also knock players back and multiple damaging circles caused by High Steaks.

Brew Master Aldryr Boss Encounter

This fight has two phases, alternating between the boss and an intermission.

  • Phase 1 (Boss Active):
The main threat is Throw Cinderbrew, which targets two random players, applying a damage-over-time effect and leaving damaging puddles on the ground. Tanks should be prepared to use cooldowns if targeted, and healers need to focus healing on affected players. The boss also uses Blazing Belch, a frontal cone attack; staying close to the boss helps avoid this cone more easily.

  • Tanks:
Watch out for Keg Smash, a strong physical attack that also drops puddles but is not very dangerous if managed properly.

  • Intermission (Happy Hour):
At 66% and 33% health, the boss becomes immune and starts an intermission. Players must collect beer mugs from the bar and deliver them to four Thirsty Patrons around the room. Each delivery reduces the intermission’s duration. The patrons continuously deal group damage with Rowdy Yell, so quick deliveries reduce incoming damage.

After the intermission ends, avoid Crawling Brawl circles that appear on the floor, as standing in them causes damage and a short stun.

Flamethrower Weapons

After the first boss room, you can find flamethrowers on the paths leading to the next bosses. These can only be picked up by Gnome, Goblin, or Mechagnome players, or by anyone with 25+ Engineering skill. When equipped, it grants an extra action button for 1 minute to channel a frontal flame cone.

  • This weapon does not cause friendly fire but deals relatively low damage.

  • Damage dealers are not recommended to pick it up due to low output.

  • Tanks should avoid it since channeling reduces the effectiveness of their defenses.

  • Healers benefit the most, as they can channel without sacrificing much.

I’pa Trash

  • Flavor Scientist:
Failed Batch spawns an explosive keg; focus fire to prevent detonation.
Rejuvenating Honey places a heal-over-time buff on an ally, which can be interrupted or purged.

  • Taste Tester:
Spill Drink enrages the mob; use soothes if available.
Free Samples? targets random players; interrupt this ability especially if enraged.

  • Careless Hopgoblin:
    Immune to crowd control.
Charges random players with Reckless Delivery; direct away from the group. Spawns several Brew Drop adds on death or wall collision.

  • Brew Drop:
Avoid puddles of Oozing Honey left on death.

I’pa Boss Fight

The boss channels Spouting Stout after engagement and when reaching full energy, dealing moderate damage to the group for 8 seconds. Avoid the ground circles it creates. It also summons 3 Brew Drop adds arranged in a triangle around it.

  • These adds try to reach the boss; if they succeed, the boss heals for 10% and deals heavy fire damage to the group.

  • Use crowd control like stuns, knockbacks, and slows to keep adds grouped and kill them quickly.

  • After being killed, adds leave behind puddles of Oozing Honey to avoid. The first time, these adds reform slowly over 20 seconds and attempt to reach the boss again.

  • If adds reach full energy, they gain a speed buff making them harder to control, so cleave them before this happens.

There’s also a Burning Fermentation Magic DoT targeting two random players. Healers should dispel it quickly using single-target dispels or group abilities like Mass Dispel.

The tank’s main concern is Bottoms Uppercut, a knockback attack that deals moderate damage. Avoid being pushed into puddles or adds.

Benk Buzzbee Trash

  • Worker Bee:
Shredding Sting applies stacking bleeds to random players. Use defensives and cleanses accordingly.
At 20% health, Final Sting targets the tank; use major defensives or crowd control to delay.

  • Bee Wrangler:
Interrupt Bee-stial Wrath consistently; use soothes if interrupted attempts fail.
Bee-Zooka fires a line attack; have the target stand still to let others dodge safely.

  • Venture Co. Honey Harvester:
    Immune to crowd control.
Swarming Surprise can cause high damage quickly; avoid pulling multiple at once.
    Avoid AoE created by Beeswax.

  • Royal Jelly Purveyor:
    Interrupt Honey Volley casts.
Avoid ground circles from Rain of Honey.

  • Bee-let:
Bee Venom causes melees to gain a stacking Magic DoT; tanks should use defensives at high stacks, and healers must dispel regularly.

Benk Buzzbee Boss Fight

This encounter centers on controlling adds to prevent being overwhelmed. When the boss casts Snack Time, it throws 3 honey barrels into the arena. These barrels immediately spawn Ravenous Cinderbee adds, which then respawn every 30 seconds.

  • Ravenous Cinderbees use Shredding Sting, stacking bleeds on random players. More adds mean more incoming damage, so keep them under control.

  • To stop the spawning, bring a Ravenous Cinderbee to 1% health, then interact with it to use Bee-Haw!, charging it forward 50 yards in a line and destroying any barrels in the path.

  • Assign a DPS player to handle this mechanic, as tanks and healers have other priorities.

Healers should prepare for Fluttering Wing, a channel that deals moderate Nature damage to all players over 2 seconds and pushes them back.

Tanks face Honey Marinade, a delayed 6-yard AoE around them that deals fire damage and leaves a honey puddle for 1.5 minutes. These puddles buff any Cinderbees that touch them with Honey Gorged, increasing their threat and damage. Drop puddles away from the group and use defensives before the explosion.

Goldie Baronbottom Trash

  • Yes Man, Assent Bloke, Agree Gentleman, and Concur Sir are immune to crowd control.

  • Killing one promotes the others, healing them to full. Focus on taking down one at a time carefully.

  • Avoid AoE from Downward Trend.

Goldie Baronbottom Boss Fight

The fight begins with the boss casting Spread the Love!, spawning numerous cinderbrew barrels and 4 volatile barrels marked with beams of light.

  • When barrels are hit by boss abilities, they explode after a few seconds, sending fire waves in four directions.

  • Volatile barrels also apply Cindering Wounds, a DoT affecting the entire group. Healers need to be ready.

Barrel management is critical because at 100 energy, the boss channels Let It Hail!, dealing fire damage over 5 seconds and exploding any remaining barrels, which can be devastating if volatile barrels are present.

Barrels can be destroyed by two abilities:

  • Cash Cannon: a tank-targeted frontal knockback. Tanks should position away from the group.

  • Burning Ricochet: a Magic DoT on 2 random players that explodes in a 5-yard AoE.

Break barrels in pairs to manage damage distribution and cooldowns efficiently. Avoid breaking barrels back-to-back to prevent DoT extensions.

After breaking barrels, keep an eye on the boss’s energy to avoid overlapping Let It Hail! with active barrels.

  • Use interrupts and crowd control to reduce pressure during these moments.

  • Coordinate cooldowns among healers and tanks to mitigate burst damage.

Throughout the fight:

  • Avoid standing in barrel explosion areas and fire waves.

  • Spread out to reduce AoE damage from Cindering Wounds.

  • Focus on burst damage phases between barrel explosions to maximize DPS on the boss.
