In MoP Classic, you can train Enchanting up to skill 600 in your faction’s main city—Stormwind for Alliance or Orgrimmar for Horde. Alternatively, Zen Master Enchanting trainers are available in Paw-don Village, located in the Jade Forest.

Making Gold with Enchanting in Mists of Pandaria Classic

Enchanting has strong gold-making potential but comes with higher entry barriers compared to professions like Alchemy.

A popular method to earn gold is the prospecting shuffle: buying large amounts of ore, prospecting it for green-quality gems, crafting rings, then using some blue-quality gems to craft necklaces. Some gems are cut and sold directly.

Rings and necklaces can be disenchanted, producing materials that you can either sell or use to craft enchants for the Auction House.

The profitability of this shuffle changes throughout the expansion. Content creators often use spreadsheets to test if it’s worth it before investing. Since this method requires substantial starting gold and time, it may not suit beginner gold-makers.

MoP Classic Prospecting Shuffle

The typical process is:

• Purchase large amounts of Ghost Iron Ore.

• Prospect it with Jewelcrafting, using a macro like:

/cast Prospecting

/use Ghost Iron Ore

Binding this macro to mouse wheel scroll makes prospecting large stacks easier.

• Craft Ornate Band and Shadowfire Necklace if you have extra blue-quality green gems.

• Craft Heart of the Earth, then disenchant these items for Spirit Dust, Mysterious Essence, and Ethereal Shard.

• The Jewelcrafter cuts rare gems to sell, while common gems are sold to vendors.

Finally, either craft enchants or sell the obtained Enchanting materials.
