Feral Druid is a leather-wearing, shapeshifting DPS spec that excels in agility, speed, and sustained Bleed damage. This spec offers both solid AoE and single-target capabilities through strategic use of Combo Points and Energy. While defensively light without talents, it has very high mobility and one of the last remaining snapshotting mechanics in the game.

Playing Feral in Season 2

Feral gameplay is all about maximizing efficiency through Combo Points and Energy usage.

Tips:

  • Maintain high uptime on DoTs and debuffs like Rip and Rake

  • Prioritize high-damage-per-resource abilities

  • Adapt your rotation to avoid Energy overcapping and wasted Combo Points

  • Prioritize higher item level over minor stat optimizations

  • Use Raidbots to sim your character for best results

Recommended Professions

  • Leatherworking: For near-BiS gear crafting

  • Alchemy: Craft potions and flasks reliably

  • Enchanting: Self-enchant gear without relying on Auction House

Best Races

  • Alliance: Night Elf – Shadowmeld enables stealth-based burst windows

  • Horde: Troll (Berserking) or Tauren (War Stomp, Endurance boosts)
