i-1

Raid Setup

  • Tanks: 2

  • Healers: 4

  • DPS: 14

Introduction

Welcome to this Mythic strategy guide for Sprocketmonger Lockenstock in Liberation of Undermine. Here you'll find specifics on Mythic-only mechanics, critical boss abilities, and our recommended tactics to help your raid succeed on this challenging difficulty.

Fight Type: Single-target
Recommended Composition: 2 Tanks, 4 Healers, 14 DPS
Enrage Condition: Popping 2 or more mines simultaneously causes an enrage wipe
Key Utilities: Warlock portals and speed boosts
Heroism/Lust: Use right at the pull

Basic Tips

  • Assign mine soakers clearly; ensure mines are popped in the right order by color.

  • Avoid contact with players of the opposite color to prevent deadly knockback and damage.

  • Dodge all mechanic inventions such as rockets and laser beams.

  • Bait drills to the side carefully to reduce raid damage.

  • React promptly to color swaps.

  • Position properly for knockback mechanics (see below).

Mechanics

Polarization Generator
This ability marks the raid into two groups: Positive (blue) and Negative (red). Players touching someone of the opposite color are knocked back and suffer a heavy DoT ticking for 2 million damage per second over 6 seconds. This effect repeats multiple times throughout the fight with alternating colors, but you aren’t guaranteed to switch each time.

Foot-Blasters (Mines)
Mines also come in two colors, matching the raid split. Popping a mine of the opposite color triggers a massive explosion wiping the raid. Each mine set includes 2 blue and 2 red mines. The order of popping does not matter, but color safety is critical.

Strategy Overview

Before pulling, assign mine popping priorities, preferably using a WeakAura to coordinate. Healers and melee should focus on close mines, while mobile ranged classes like Mages, Hunters, and Evokers handle the farther ones. Different guilds may have slight variations in priorities, but this layout works well for most groups.

Phase 1

At the start, the Polarization Generator divides your raid into two colors. Everyone must quickly adjust positioning after each cast. Mines must be cleared swiftly to avoid lethal overlap damage from inventions hitting them.

1st Mine Set

Stay stacked in a safe formation to prevent accidental mine triggers or crossing paths. Ranged players should bait drills to the side as they appear. Melees can only bait drills if several ranged are down, and no one should bait drills twice consecutively.

If the conveyor belt moves, standing still lets it carry you while you attack the boss, reducing risk of drill hits. After clearing mines, move the boss away from fire beams, which are deadly on Mythic.

2nd Mine Set

Another drill wave arrives here; use the conveyor belt to avoid damage. Soon after, fire beams and rockets will begin. Take rockets seriously early to avoid wipes.

3rd Mine Set

This is the first time far mines appear. Clear melee mines first, then the far ones. This concludes Phase 1 mines, preparing for the upcoming intermission.

Intermission Knockback

This knockback is tricky due to color splits but manageable with proper positioning.

Blue Team: Stand in front of the boss, get knocked back to the room's rear. Ranged aim for the middle belt; melee for the outer belt.

Red Team: Stand behind the boss, between it and the warlock portal. The safest approach is to wait for knockback then spam the portal button. Taking the portal too early risks falling off the platform, but as long as you’re knocked toward it, spamming works.

Intermission Setup

During intermission, position the raid as follows for optimal handling of mechanics and preparation for the next phase. Maintain clear separation by color and ready yourselves for incoming mines and beams.

Phase 1 (Continued)

1st Set of Mines (Post-Intermission)

You’ll encounter two close mines and two far mines. It’s best to clear the close mines first, then the far ones. The fire beams are replaced by purple beams now, which cover large areas and are lethal if touched.

Players assigned to far mines must be cautious when returning to the group—if slowed, find a safe spot and wait until the mechanic clears.

2nd Set of Mines (Phase 1 Continued)

This mine set appears quickly as the raid moves to the opposite side of the room. Clear the far mines first (which spawn where you previously stood), then move onto the close ones.

Be extremely careful moving over the area during mine spawns to avoid accidentally triggering mines. Purple beams will follow shortly, and drills must be baited carefully to the sides to maintain safe space.

Hardest Color Swap

Before the last mine set in this phase, a difficult color swap occurs. All players marked blue must quickly move to the room’s bottom to create room for tanks to maneuver the boss regardless of their assigned colors.

Final Mine Set of Phase 1

Red team should stay as close as possible to the boss, avoiding the middle belt. Blue team also remains near the boss but avoids the rear belt.

Bait drills safely and regroup quickly since purple beams will start immediately after, leaving little room to dodge. Players with mobility immunities should use them here to intercept rockets.

Last Knockback of the Fight

For the final knockback in Phase 1:

  • Red team stands in front of the boss and gets knocked to the back.

  • Blue team stands below the boss near the edge, hugging the warlock portal. Take the portal just before the knockback ends (under 0.5 seconds remaining) for safety.

Intermission 2

After the knockback, position the raid again to maintain organization and control.

Phase 1 (Final Portion)

At this point, Sprocketmonger Lockenstock should be at low health. If the fight continues, prepare for another mine set.

Mine Set

Clear the far mines first, then close ones.

Empowered Inventions

After the mines, dodge the empowered inventions now manifesting as purple balls. Stop all damage to prioritize survival.

Move the boss to the opposite side and prepare for mines again.

Final Mines

Upon finishing the mines, the raid must quickly move toward the room’s bottom to avoid incoming purple balls from the current side.

Conclusion

If the boss isn’t defeated by now, the pull likely went poorly. Learning to progress further is not recommended due to difficult overlapping mechanics. With all players alive and positioned correctly, the boss should be defeated before this point.
