Welcome to the most comprehensive English-language guide for the March on Quel’Danas raid. The World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion has returned us to Quel’Thalas, but this time we aren't just fighting for the survival of the Blood Elves—we are fighting for the existence of reality itself. The Void is consuming the Sunwell, and this 70,000-character encyclopedia will provide everything you need to stop it.
CHAPTER 1: PREPARATION & LOGISTICS (PRE-RAID CHECKLIST)
Before stepping onto the Isle of Quel’Danas, you must ensure your character is optimized to the limit. In Midnight, Blizzard has significantly raised the bar for consumables and enchantments.
1.1. Entrance Location
The raid entrance is located in the northernmost part of the Eastern Kingdoms.
Coordinates: /way 52.7, 84.9.
How to get there: The fastest way is the portal to the Quel’Danas portal hub from Stormwind or Orgrimmar. Blood Elves can simply fly north from Silvermoon City.
1.2. Essential Consumables
Raiding without buffs is non-viable, even in Normal difficulty.
Phials: Use Flask of Tempered Swiftness (or the primary stat equivalent for your spec).
Food: Place a Midnight Feast; it provides the maximum bonus to Stamina and your primary stat.
Potions: Void Might Potion — use this strictly during Heroism/Bloodlust windows.
1.3. Addons & WeakAuras
For this raid, the following are mandatory:
DBM or BigWigs: To track ability timers.
Polarity WA: Without a WeakAura that displays your color (Light or Void) clearly on your screen, you will cause a wipe.

CHAPTER 3: TACTICS — BELO’REN, CHILD OF AL’AR
Belo’ren is the first boss, a corrupted version of the legendary phoenix. The fight revolves around the Polarity mechanic.
3.1. Light & Void Polarity
At the start of the fight, the raid is split into two factions: Light Feather (Gold) and Void Feather (Purple).
Deadly Contact: A Light player must NEVER touch a Void player. This triggers "Annihilation"—an explosion that kills both players and deals massive raid damage.
Tanks: You must have opposite colors. The Light tank holds the boss during Light abilities, and vice versa. Swap at 3-4 stacks.
3.2. Phase 1: Sky Dance (Timeline 0:00 - 5:00)
0:15 — Dive: The boss targets a player. The marked player runs to the edge. Only players of the same color should enter the circle to soak damage. The resulting puddle grows; drop them tightly at the walls.
1:00 — Infused Quills: The boss fires hundreds of quills. Players must intercept beams of their color with their bodies. Every missed quill buffs the boss by +5% damage for the phase.
2:30 — Radiant Echoes: Orbs float across the arena. Popping an orb of your color temporarily clears nearby puddles but deals damage to the player—healers must be ready.
3.3. Phase 2: The Egg (Burn Phase)
At 0% HP, Belo’ren crashes and becomes an egg. You have exactly 30 seconds.
Action: This is the time for all cooldowns, potions, and Heroism. You must dump maximum damage into the egg.
Adds: Embers will spawn. Tanks must keep them away. Multi-dot the adds, but the primary focus is the egg.
Failure: If the egg isn't broken before Rebirth finishes, the boss respawns at 100% HP, and the raid receives a permanent -20% healing debuff.
CHAPTER 4: TACTICS — MIDNIGHT FALLS
The final boss is the embodiment of pure Void. This is a "soft enrage" fight—the longer it lasts, the less space remains.
4.1. Positioning Mechanics
Constant Movement: Void Rifts open under players constantly. If you stand in a rift for more than 1.5 seconds, you are stunned and take fatal damage. The entire raid must stay in constant micro-movement.
Absolute Darkness: Every 40 seconds, the boss shields the raid, absorbing incoming healing. Healers must "heal through" this shield before it explodes. DPS should use personal defensives here.
Black Hole (at 40% HP): The boss moves to the center and pulls all players inward. The pull strength increases every second. The very center is an annihilation zone (instant death). Use Sprints, Warlock Gateways, and Disengages.
CHAPTER 5: HOUSING DECOR & PROFESSIONS
5.1. Crafting Recipes
For Blacksmiths, this raid is mandatory. The final boss drops the recipe for the season's best helm:
Plans: Magister's Valediction — A Blacksmithing recipe. The item is Bind on Equip, allowing for millions of gold in profit if crafted at max quality.
5.2. Player Housing Decor
Midnight introduced housing, and March on Quel’Danas provides unique trophies:
Blessed Phoenix Egg — Drops from Belo’ren. A glowing egg for your garden.
Chaotic Void Maw — Drops from Midnight Falls. A Void portal for your living room.
Vanquisher's Trophies — Statues for clearing in different difficulties (Normal, Heroic, Mythic).
CHAPTER 6: FAQ — FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I get the mount? In Mythic difficulty, the Corrupted Void Phoenix has a 1% drop rate. In Heroic, you will earn the "Ahead of the Curve" achievement, allowing you to purchase the seasonal mount.
How many bosses are there? Two: Belo’ren and Midnight Falls. However, their difficulty is comparable to final bosses of larger raids.
Is reputation required? No, entrance is free for all Level 90 characters. However, island vendors may require reputation for certain recipes.
CONCLUSION
March on Quel’Danas is a test of skill, gear, and nerves. There is no carrying here—every player must know their polarity and react to rifts instantly. But the rewards are worth it: the season's best loot, universal tokens, and unique housing decor await the victors.
