Rainbow Six Siege Y11S3: Operation Split Fire Overview
Operation Split Fire, Rainbow Six Siege's third season of Year 11, launched on September 1, 2026. Its central additions were defender Noor, a targeted Villa update, Legend Division, and a redesigned Options menu. For players, that means revisiting familiar routes and controls as well as operator choices.
A seasonal update does not remain unchanged for the entire season. This overview separates Y11S3 launch features from the later Y11S3.2 adjustments. That avoids practicing an outdated Horus Lance timing or treating an early limited-mode announcement as proof of availability today.
Begin with three preparation tasks: explore Villa's altered entrances in practice, check gadget bindings in Options, and understand Noor's role against shields. Those checks make it easier to identify which changes affect your normal rounds.
Noor: a defender against shield-led pushes

A Ubisoft demonstration screenshot: Noor is designed to contest shield-led pushes.
Noor is an Egyptian Defender with a Speed rating of 2 and a Health rating of 2. The Horus Lance Launcher fires five projectiles that pierce shields and destructible surfaces before producing fire. It can work through floors, ceilings, and adjacent rooms. Its purpose is to disrupt attacker momentum and contest a useful area or defuser plant.
Noor can interact with objects such as Castle's Armor Panels and Azami's Kiba Barriers as well as ballistic shields. You still need information about the opponent. Firing into a surface at random does not guarantee a useful fire zone.
Loadout component | Options in the seasonal announcement |
|---|---|
Primary weapon | Commando 9 or ALDA 5.56 |
Secondary | 1911 TACOPS or Bailiff 410 |
Secondary gadget | Deployable Shield or Barbed Wire |
For practice, choose one passage and establish where you can use Horus Lance while staying near cover. Discuss which teammate will hold the opponent after the effect begins. The gadget is more valuable when its effect becomes passage control rather than an isolated instance of damage.
Noor's Y11S3.2 changes
The published Y11S3.2 changes reduced drilling time on ballistic shields, soft surfaces, and solid surfaces from 2 to 1.5 seconds. Guard break strength on shield impact rose from 30% to 100%. Equipping time fell from 0.9 to 0.4 seconds, while direct operator impact damage increased from 50 to 80.
The hitbox was adjusted, and shield operators could now take damage during the projectile-removal animation. Repeat an old timing exercise rather than relying on its previous delays. Direct impact damage and the subsequent fire are separate parts of the interaction.
Villa: relearn the lower level first
Villa received a Targeted Map Update, changing important areas rather than replacing the whole map. The focus was its basement and garage. The Living Room/Library objective moved downstairs, and the garage became an interior rather than an exterior space.
That changes the eastern approach, drone paths, and defender rotations. Your knowledge of Villa's general shape remains useful but does not replace checking the altered section. Before a serious match, walk through the expected attacker entrance and a defender's route back.
Stadium Alpha, Stadium Bravo, and House received visual modernization. The Shooting Range and Tutorial also gained graphics improvements. Do not equate lighting and material changes with an objective relocation; those require different preparation.
Ranked 3.0: starting rank and progression
The season begins with five Placement Matches. They offer increased RP gains and have no rank-based Squad Restrictions. Your starting rank appears after the fifth match. Prepare a small familiar Operator pool and restore team coordination first: these games call for results rather than trying every new gadget at once.
Ranked 3.0 matches opponents through RP instead of hidden MMR. Post-match changes depend on the result and the teams’ relative ranks: beating a stronger team pays more, while losing to a weaker one costs more. A squad with large rank gaps is weighted toward its higher-ranked member. A mixed group of friends should therefore consider the opposition it may face rather than only its lowest badge.
KDA is not a factor in rank progression. Play for the round win: useful intel, gadget removal, or covering a plant may matter more than the final elimination. The post-match report shows the actual RP change. Avoid substituting a promised identical reward for every win or a fixed number of games to the next rank.
Legend Division: a separate solo queue
Legend Division targets qualified high-level players through Solo Queue. The seasonal description lists current Champion rank, at least Platinum in the previous season, positive reputation, and completed security requirements. A high rank alone is insufficient when another requirement is missing.
Players lock their region after entering and compete on a regional leaderboard. A dynamic banner reflects their standing, while the final Top 100 is tied to a numbered charm the following season. Follow the final-placement and Top 100 retention conditions rather than a screenshot taken halfway through the season.
On PC, ShieldGuard Secure Platform requires Secure Boot, Windows Memory Integrity/HVCI, and TPM 2.0. Legend Division also requires two-step verification through an authenticator app. The official description includes temporary administrative privileges to verify the settings. These are admission requirements for that system, not a recommendation to download a third-party utility.
The playlist opened with the October 15, 2026 update; the published Y11S3 run lasts until December 1. Clarified requirements include Clearance Level 200 or higher and Reputation Standing level three or higher, alongside current Champion, Platinum or higher last season, and security checks. All requirements apply together: reaching level 200 alone does not unlock entry. It uses the Pro League map pool, and its separate progression resets with seasonal ranks.
Launch weapon and operator changes
Target | Y11S3 launch change |
|---|---|
SMG-12 | Damage 16 instead of 28; magazine 22 instead of 32 |
AR-15.50 | Damage 59 instead of 67, with stronger recoil |
Mk 14 EBR | Damage 56 instead of 60 |
CSRX 300 | 3.5x/8x optics; 51 total rounds; 0.8-second bolt cycle |
SPSMG9 | Damage 35 instead of 33 |
Lion | EE-ONE-D warning: 1.4 instead of 1.5 seconds |
Kapkan | EDD damage: 62 instead of 60 |
Echo | Sonic Burst refill: 15 instead of 16 seconds |
Claymore | Damage 155 instead of 150 |
Dokkaebi | Jegeo Payload requires a continuous connection; interruption cancels the upload |
Dokkaebi received Breach Charges in place of Impact EMP Grenades. Aruni lost the Muzzle Brake on the Mk 14 EBR, while Tubarão lost it on the AR-15.50. Kali's V-Lance switching no longer canceled ADS or leaning. Recheck saved loadouts, particularly if you selected an operator for a particular secondary tool.
The CSRX 300 has increased first-shot recoil and hip-fire spread, so its faster cycle still calls for prepared aim. The Mk 14 EBR first-shot recoil increase is specifically listed for mouse and keyboard. Dokkaebi’s tablet remains active throughout the Jegeo Payload upload; losing the connection cancels the upload rather than first activating the tablet.
Y11S3.2 added an impact-trigger mode for Tachanka's Incendiary Grenades, reduced Solid Snake's Precision mode charges from four to three, and added the Glaive-12 as a secondary for Valkyrie. Smaller changes also affected Capitão, Clash, and Osa. Fire damage for the objects listed in the notes increased to 14 from 12; BU-GI now becomes entangled in Barbed Wire and self-destructs.
Distinguish the temporary formats
3v3 Arcade reduces team size and accelerates Bomb. Its seasonal description specifies a maximum of seven rounds, victory after four round wins, and a 30-second preparation phase. There are no bans, but an operator used in a winning round becomes unavailable to that team for the rest of the match.
Wasteland Circuit is a drone-racing format with several races. Item Balloons interfere with opponents, Boost Balloons provide acceleration, and finishing positions contribute to the final score. It is a separate limited-time format rather than a new Ranked Bomb rule.
The announced Y11S3 event calendar:
Format | 2026 dates | What to distinguish |
|---|---|---|
3v3 Arcade | September 8-21 | Short Bomb with Operator attrition |
Wasteland Circuit | September 23 - October 13 | Drone races separate from Ranked Bomb |
Doktor’s Curse | October 15 - November 2 | Returning Hide & Seek with Grim and Hibana among Hunters and Mute among Monsters |
Wasteland Circuit used three tracks on a modified Oregon: Ghost Town, Underbelly, and Airplane Boneyard. A match contained three races with ten players; each ended when someone won or a five-minute timer expired. Finishing position awarded points toward the overall result. For practice, separate two skills: keeping your line through a turn and choosing when to use an item against an opponent.
These periods belong to particular limited-time events. Check the available playlist before another session: an archived description of a September mode does not mean its queue remains open.
The season pass and access to Noor
Operation Split Fire’s Premium Pass is listed at 1,200 R6 Credits for September 1 - December 1. It lists early access to Noor and three Operator bundles for Castle, Zofia, and Noor, alongside a Signature Bundle, weapon skins, packs, and boosters. Early access is a feature of the seasonal offer; do not read it as a promise that the Operator remains available exclusively through this pass after the launch period.
Before purchasing, compare the reward you want with what your account already owns. If your goal is learning Noor, first understand his role, available weapons, and Horus Lance interactions. Cosmetic rewards do not replace that choice or establish an advantage in a round.
Prices, interface, and training
The launch announcement reduced Ram to 10,000 Renown or 240 R6 Credits, Skopos to 15,000 or 360, and Denari to 20,000 or 480. These are the seasonal price changes, rather than a promise that other access methods or later discounts cannot exist.
Options gained new categories and clearer navigation. Adaptive Render Scaling became enabled by default on PC across graphics presets. Quick Match received a minimap that experienced players can hide in guidance settings. Players below clearance level 10 deal reduced damage to teammates.
The voting and surrender interface also changed: a team may try to surrender when behind in rounds or when a teammate has been absent for at least six minutes. The vote no longer immediately disappears if a round ends unexpectedly. Hold actions received a circular progress indicator, including entering rappel and picking up gadgets. Check these cues in a brief practice session to distinguish an action starting from an action completing.
Clear House gained five modernized maps: Casino, Emerald Plains, Stadium 2020, Stadium Bravo, and House. They also joined Field Training, where Ram, Osa, Mozzie, and Brava became available. That provides a useful place to check inputs and gadgets before a normal match.
What should you check before the next session?
Villa's altered area, saved weapon and gadget loadouts, device interaction behavior, render scaling, and the playlist you need. For Legend Division, separately check every admission and account-security requirement.
Does Y11S3.2 replace all launch rules?
No. Later notes alter their listed parameters. Retain the seasonal foundation and apply each later change to the relevant operator or mechanic.
