WoW Forever Guide - Everything You Need to Know
What Is WoW Forever?
World of Warcraft: Forever is a permanent World of Warcraft experience designed to exist alongside modern WoW and WoW Classic. It is not a temporary season or another version of Classic. Instead, Forever expands original Azeroth with new stories, regions, dungeons, raids, and long-term progression systems.
The level cap remains 60. WoW Forever is scheduled to launch on November 4, 2026, with beta testing beginning September 17.
Players planning a new character can use WoW Forever 1-60 Leveling.
Level 1-60 Remains the Core Journey
Forever keeps the familiar level 1-60 structure while greatly expanding the route through Azeroth. Blizzard has announced more than 1,000 new quests across the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.
There is no enemy level scaling and no flying, making world travel, route planning, and choosing appropriate zones important parts of progression again.
Players who need more focused progression can also use Questline Completion or Zone Completion.
New WoW Forever Zones
One of Forever's biggest additions is the expansion of areas that previously existed only around the edges of original Azeroth.
Mount Hyjal
Players can explore the aftermath of Archimonde's defeat and see how Mount Hyjal develops following the major battle.
A dedicated Mount Hyjal Completion service is available for this region.
Shen'Dralas
This new region between Mulgore and Desolace expands the stories of the Shen'dralar, Eldre'Thalas, Dire Maul, and the local centaur tribes.
Players targeting the zone can use Shen'Dralas Completion.
Riverglades
Riverglades is a major new mid-level region with more than 150 quests spread across settlements, trade routes, rivers, and frontier areas.
A dedicated Riverglades Completion service covers progression through this zone.
Zephras Isle and the Skyborne
Zephras Isle is the dedicated starting zone for the new Skyborne race and covers approximately levels 1-12.
Players who want to continue all the way to the level cap can use Skyborne 1-60 Leveling.
Nine New Dungeons
WoW Forever introduces nine new dungeons connected to locations and stories from original Azeroth:
Players looking for a broader progression route can use All Dungeons.
WoW Forever Raids
The first stage of WoW Forever introduces two new raids.
Barrow Deeps is planned as a 10-player maximum-level raid, while Hyjal Summit is designed for 20 players. New gear sets and valuable raid rewards will accompany this content.
Players can use All Raids, Barrow Deeps, or Hyjal Summit.
Before entering raids, Pre-Raid Gear can help prepare a character, while Raid Gear and Tier Set focus on later gearing goals.
Forever is also expected to expand with additional raid content over time, including revamped iconic encounters from original World of Warcraft.
How the Legacy System Works
Legacy is one of WoW Forever's main long-term progression systems.
Players complete special challenges to earn Legacy Points. These objectives can involve class leveling, professions, exploration, and other areas of the game.
The system is particularly useful for players who plan to level multiple characters through the 1-60 journey.
More details are available through Legacy Points, Legacy Challenges, and the Legacy Reward Track.
Professions Get Hundreds of New Recipes
WoW Forever significantly expands crafting with more than 600 new recipes across different professions and skill ranges.
Some advanced recipes can come from dungeon bosses, while professions also connect to the new Camping system through useful crafted objects and workstations.
Players who want broad profession progression can use Profession Leveling.
Individual options are also available for Blacksmithing, Alchemy, Tailoring, Leatherworking, Herbalism, Skinning, Mining, Cooking, Enchanting, Engineering, Fishing, and First Aid.
PvP and Darkspear Islands
Forever introduces Darkspear Islands, a new 15v15 battleground that combines strategic control points with flag capture and defense mechanics.
PvP progression also includes ranks, victories, and related competitive goals.
Relevant Dving pages include Darkspear Islands, Battleground Wins, and PvP Rank.
The New Camping System
Camping is another major system being introduced in WoW Forever.
Players can create campsites in the open world and expand them with profession-related objects, workspaces, repairs, and other useful functions.
This connects crafting more closely with exploration and gives groups an additional preparation point while travelling through Azeroth.
Transmog, Visual Options, and Gamepad Support
Forever includes optional Transmog and several visual customization options.
Players can choose between more modern and Classic-inspired presentation, different character-model options, and restored Classic animations.
Official gamepad support is also planned, providing another way to play without changing the world-focused structure of Forever.
What Comes After Launch?
WoW Forever is designed as an expanding version of Azeroth rather than a fixed one-time release.
Blizzard plans to add more raids, dungeons, PvP content, quests, and open-world updates after the initial launch.
Hardcore is also planned for a later stage. Players interested in that mode can find Hardcore 1-60 Leveling.
Is WoW Forever Worth Starting?
WoW Forever is aimed at players who enjoy the structure and atmosphere of original World of Warcraft but want more than another identical journey through familiar content.
The game keeps the level 60 cap while adding new regions, more than 1,000 quests, nine dungeons, new raids, Legacy progression, expanded professions, PvP content, and the Skyborne race.
