WoW Forever Roadmap: Launch, Raids and Future Updates
Forever's next event is the October 21 stress test. Early Name Reservation follows from October 27 through November 3, the game launches on November 4 in Pacific time, and the first raids open on December 9. Hardcore and the major 2027 updates have broader seasonal windows rather than exact days.
Checked October 19, 2026. The available game is currently a beta capped at level 30. The full release has not happened. References to something being available now therefore describe the test build, not a live launch. The announced release supports progression to level 60; reaching 30 in beta does not unlock the complete future game early.
Use the dated events to arrange a shared start and the seasonal windows to understand the direction of development. A spring window is not precise enough to book a particular launch day off work or promise a specific raid roster.
Read the status alongside the date
Released / Live means that a release has actually happened. As of this check, it does not describe the full Forever launch or December raids. The running beta belongs under In testing / Beta: participants can play it, but the build continues to change.
Confirmed identifies an announced event with a date, such as launch or name reservation. Announced without firm date covers plans such as Hardcore and seasonal updates. Datamined / Unconfirmed applies to client-file discoveries, speculation and rumors that do not establish a release by themselves.
Different details of one event can have different certainty. Raid opening day can be confirmed while individual items and final preparation requirements remain unrevealed. Keep the status of the date separate from the completeness of the content details.

Launch uses the timezone in Blizzard's announcement. November 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST is 23:00 UTC that day and 02:00 Moscow time on November 5. These describe one global moment, not two separate releases. Do not automatically attach the same hour to name reservation or raid opening; those events need their own timing announcements.
What is actually running in beta
The beta began on September 17 with a level 20 cap. The October 1 update raised it to 30 and expanded the available dungeon selection, including Excavation Site: Wetlands. That change is already in the test build rather than waiting for another roadmap phase.
Use the remaining testing time to explore your class, controls, early routes and group play. Accessible dungeons, quests and systems can help you choose a main. They cannot establish final maximum-level raid balance: deeper talents, later equipment and the complete ability set are not being evaluated under the same conditions.
October builds continue adjusting racials, classes, items and interface behavior. The latest checked update, for example, adds a new-player tutorial and a Hunter setting for switching between automatic attack types. Small control changes can be more useful for personal preparation than an early specialization ranking.
Do not treat beta leveling as completed launch progression. Forever starts fresh with new level 1 characters. The lasting benefit of testing is familiarity with the game, not a level 30 character waiting at release.

Five upcoming milestones with dates and timezones kept intact
The stress test moved to October 21
October 19 is outdated: Blizzard moved the event to October 21. Europe starts at the announced 19:00 CEST, equivalent to 20:00 Moscow time. Other regions have their own published hours, so the European time should not be presented as the start of every regional test.
No subscription, Game Time, invitation or regular beta access is required. In Battle.net, select World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test under the versions in development. Install ahead of time so downloading does not consume the short participation window.
The ordinary beta will go offline shortly before the test and is expected to return afterward. The duration can change. Characters, names and guilds created on the stress-test servers will be wiped. This event checks infrastructure; it does not secure a launch name.
Blizzard calls October 21 the last full beta testing day. Earlier calendars showing October 22 should not be read as a promise of another complete play day. Follow test-server notices for the final hours rather than assuming a shutdown at midnight in your own timezone.
Name reservation before launch
The October 27 through November 3 window applies to eligible upgrades: the Skyborne Heroic Pack, Skyborne Epic Pack and Warcraft Forever Collection. Do not substitute the regular beta-access purchase rules for name-reservation eligibility; they are separate benefits.
A full name has two parts and must be unique within its region. A preferred first name might remain usable with a different second part. Prepare several complete combinations because the desired name is not guaranteed and reservations are first come, first served.
This prepares a character rather than opening the world early. For a group, agreeing on region, faction and ruleset matters more at this point than arguing over the order of future raids. Characters on different rulesets cannot simply form one party together.
What the full launch is meant to include
The launch world expands the journey through original Azeroth. Announced regions include Mount Hyjal, Shen'dralas, Riverglades and Zephras Isle, alongside nine new dungeons across different leveling stages. A starting area and a late-game zone do not become equally suitable for a character because they arrive in the same release.
The Skyborne race and additional race/class combinations expand character choice. Choose around the role you enjoy and the current Forever talent tree. Do not automatically import modern WoW abilities or Season of Discovery's seasonal rules.
Legacy, Camping and revised professions support the journey itself. Legacy rewards repeat leveling and alts, camps encourage interaction in the world, and new recipes give crafting a purpose before maximum level. Later expansion of these systems does not mean their foundations are delayed until summer.
New PvP content, including Darkspear Islands, belongs to Forever's announced offering. Later PvP season refreshes are separate roadmap entries. They do not let us invent a precise season start, complete reward list or schedule for every activity.
The first raids open December 9
The published schedule lists Barrow Deeps for 10 players, Hyjal Summit for 20 and Onyxia's Lair for 40. A guild should decide which format suits its population instead of treating the three as interchangeable group requirements. Preparing ten people and assembling forty are different organizational tasks.
There are five weeks between the November 4 global launch and the announced December 9 opening. That gives players time for leveling, dungeons, professions and establishing a regular team. It does not require every player to reach 60 before the first raid week.
Agree on raid nights, roles and reserves, then refine preparation when the raids' actual requirements are published. A confirmed opening date does not validate old Classic attunements, final best-in-slot lists or a guaranteed reward from a legendary quest. Those details need their own evidence.
When a new announcement arrives, update both the calendar entry and its status. Check your region's time, eligibility and what the build actually contains. A newly discovered client item or name is a reason to await confirmation, not to add another release to the official plan.
Hardcore and the seasonal 2027 plans/

Post-launch directions without invented exact release days
Hardcore after the main release
Blizzard confirms Hardcore after launch; published calendars place it in a winter window. There is no exact day. It should not be described as available on November 4 or automatically tied to the December 9 raid opening.
Hardcore has a separate progression environment. Progress, collections and rewards earned there can become available outside it, while progress from other rulesets does not flow back in. Do not prepare a normal character expecting to import accumulated advantages into Hardcore.
The spring update
The spring 2027 plan includes two new raids in 10-player and 20-player formats, two dungeons, new quests and a playable area, plus a PvP season refresh. Specialist coverage of the plan also lists a new legendary questline. This outlines development rather than a complete list of obtainable rewards.
An exact start day, entry levels for the new dungeons and a required reputation for the new area cannot yet be assigned. Building a group and learning your class are useful preparation. Stockpiling a particular currency for an unrevealed questline without confirmed conditions is speculation.
The summer update
Summer 2027 calls for a revamped iconic raid, another new raid, expanded world content, two dungeons, a PvP season refresh and work on professions and Legacy. The checked material does not identify the revamped raid or establish an exact opening order for everything inside the update.
Do not replace that unnamed entry with a popular community candidate. Similarly, a professions update does not disclose recipes, material prices or reputation requirements. Until further announcements, those are areas of development rather than a finished gathering plan.
What this means for long-term progression
Forever is built around developing level 60 Azeroth. In an October interview, the developers described an intention to preserve the relevance of older content and let equipment progress gradually. That is a design goal, not a guarantee that every item stays best in slot forever.
A PvP season refresh does not automatically mean deleting all characters or moving to a higher level cap. The published plan does not confirm a level 70 stage or a mandatory repeat of Classic's expansion order. Keep another version's calendar separate from Forever.
There is no fixed eight-week patch promise or guaranteed cycle of several months here either. Seasonal windows show the broad order of major work, not the date of every balance change. Beta adjustments already arrive separately from these larger milestones.
Choose a useful preparation goal
For a first look, the immediate opportunity is the stress test, followed by choosing a launch character. A future raider benefits most from a reliable group and steady preparation during the opening weeks. A Hardcore player should wait for its own release date while learning dangerous routes without assuming progress will transfer inward.
