Diablo 4 Season 7: Complete Guide to Coven Reputation and Rewards
The Coven Reputation Guide - Season 7 Diablo 4
The Season questline and story for the Season of Witchcraft is centered around Headhunts, Witchcraft, and the Tree of Whispers. This guide covers everything you need to know to earn Season 7 reputation and access the rewards offered by the Coven.
The Coven Reputation in Season 7 - Diablo 4
The Coven is the newest seasonal reputation in Diablo 4, a convent of witches intertwined with Witch Powers, Headhunts, Occult Gems, and the Season of Witchcraft theme. Participating in Headhunts, completing Whispers, and turning in Grim Favors to the Tree of Whispers will progress players along the Coven's reward track, granting access to new Witch Powers, gear, materials, and more.
Several levels of reputation also unlock new quests on the seasonal campaign, with 9 total side quests that progress the storyline of the Coven and witchcraft in Sanctuary.
"You do not need to own the Vessel of Hatred expansion to participate in the Season of Witchcraft, but Headhunts in Nahantu can only be accessed by players who have purchased Vessel of Hatred. The others can be accessed by any player on the Seasonal Realm."
Unlocking the Coven Reputation in Season of Witchcraft - Diablo 4
When you log in for the first time on a character during the Season of Witchcraft, you will have a quest to speak to an NPC at the Tree of Whispers. Once you do so, you will be able to start the quest chain and begin earning reputation with the Coven. There is a small board-like structure called Coven's Favor to the east of the Waypoint in the Tree of Whispers area that you can interact with to see your standing with the Coven and open up the Rewards track UI.

Farming the Coven Reputation in Season 7 - Diablo 4
Farming reputation with the Coven is simple, straightforward, and tied to activities that are always available – completing Whispers for Grim Favors.
Participating in Headhunts and turning in Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers is an easy, straightforward endgame loop that maximizes reputation gain with the Coven while also rewarding players with gear, Gold, and materials.
Headhunts - Diablo 4
Headhunts are similar to Helltides, events that rotate between different zones with multiple Headhunts being active at once. These events create several Whispers in their zone, as well as the new micro-dungeons, Rootholds. Complete these Whispers to earn reputation with the Coven, and turn in Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers for additional reputation and rewards.
Check your map for the blue/green zones to see where Headhunts are currently active. There are typically 4 Headhunts active at any given time, each lasting 60 minutes on staggered timers. For more information on Headhunts and the Whispers you can find within them, take a look at our Headhunts guide below.
Tree of Whispers - Diablo 4
With the Tree of Whispers being this season's focal point, there have been several changes to both the Tree of Whispers systems and the area itself. Completing Whispers for Grim Favors grants reputation with the Coven, and then turning them in to the Tree of Whispers grants Collections containing gear, materials, Gold, and Experience.
Headhunts make Whisper/Grim Favor farming quicker and easier than ever before in Diablo 4, and the rate at which players can now turn in Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers makes this grind feel less tedious and more rewarding. For more information on Season 7 changes to the Tree of Whispers, take a look at our guide below.
Draught of Whispers - Diablo 4
Draught of Whispers is a consumable item that grants a buff for 60 minutes. Unlike seasonal Elixirs from Diablo 4's past, these do not grant stats or reputation, instead doubling the chances of finding a Lost Altar in dungeons and increasing the chance of encountering a Husk possessed by a Fugitive Head by 50%.
The Coven Reputation Rewards in Season 7 - Diablo 4
There are 20 Tiers of rewards to earn with the Coven. Every Tier reward includes a cache of crafting materials, summoning materials, and/or gear, with the exception of Tiers 3, 5, and 7, which grant new Witchcraft Powers. Tiers 2-9 unlock new side quests.
