Learn to Use the Character Sheet in Path of Exile 2

Character Sheet Overview

The character sheet is your go-to resource for a detailed breakdown of your character's stats. By default, you can open it by pressing ‘C’.

At the top of the sheet, you’ll find a basic overview of your character's stats and key information:

  • Left of the avatar: Displays your character’s level, Class or Ascendancy, current location in the game world, and the league they are participating in.
  • Right of the avatar: Shows your character’s total Attributes.

Below this section, you’ll see an overview of your most important resources and stats, including Life, Mana, Spirit, and Resistances. You can hover over each stat for a concise description of what it represents.

Scrolling further down reveals a more detailed breakdown of stats that have additional mechanics or complexities beneath the surface.

Character Sheet Breakdown

As you scroll down the character sheet, you’ll notice a more detailed breakdown of the stats listed in the overview section, along with many additional stats.

For example, under Life, you’ll see your total maximum Life, as well as your total Life recovery per second. A further breakdown reveals the sources contributing to that recovery, providing deeper insight into your character's sustain.

Continuing further, you’ll discover a variety of stats not included in the initial overview at the top. These additional details allow for a comprehensive understanding of your character’s capabilities and performance.

Life

This section displays your maximum Life, along with the total amount of Life recovery per second from all sources. It provides a quick overview of your survivability and sustain capabilities.

Energy Shield

This section displays your maximum Energy Shield and any modifiers affecting its recovery. By default, recovery refers to Energy Shield recharge, which restores the shield after it hasn’t been damaged for a certain duration.

Mana

This section shows your maximum Mana, along with the total amount of Mana recovery per second from all sources. It provides a clear overview of your resource sustain for casting abilities.

Armour

This section displays your total Armour, along with an estimated percentage of Physical Damage reduction for incoming Physical hits. Any special modifiers that allow Armour to apply to other damage types will also be listed here, providing a comprehensive view of your defensive capabilities.

Evasion

This section displays your total Evasion Rating and an estimated chance to evade incoming strikes or projectiles. Any modifiers that allow you to evade other types of hits beyond strikes and projectiles will also be listed here.

Dodge

This section lists modifiers that provide a chance to dodge incoming hits, enhancing your ability to avoid damage from attacks or spells.

Block

This section displays your total chance to block incoming projectiles or strikes. It also lists any modifiers that enhance block mechanics, such as those providing active block effects or recovery on block.

Resistances

This section provides a detailed breakdown of your Resistances, including:

  • Your effective resistance to each damage type.
  • Your maximum resistance caps.
  • Your total uncapped resistance, which represents the amount of resistance you have above 0%, unaffected by any maximum resistance limits.

Stun

This section lists any stats that influence incoming stuns, such as modifiers like "increased Stun Threshold", which affect your character’s ability to resist or recover from stuns.

Damage Avoidance

This section displays any modifiers that grant a chance to avoid damage, such as "chance to Avoid Physical Damage from Hits". These modifiers improve your ability to reduce or completely negate incoming damage.

Damage Taken

Modifiers applied at the final stage of the damage calculation are known as "Damage Taken" modifiers. For example, Fortification reduces the damage you take from hits, providing an additional layer of defense.

Damage Redirection

Also referred to as Damage Taken As or damage shifting, this mechanic involves redirecting incoming damage from one type to another. It is important to note that this differs from damage conversion, which changes the type of damage dealt.

This section lists modifiers that make you take one type of damage as another. For example, "Take 50% of Cold Damage as Fire Damage" would fall under this category. Additionally, modifiers that redirect damage to another entity—such as the Infernalist’s Hellhound minion taking damage before you—are also included here.

Reflected Damage

This section lists modifiers that cause you to reflect incoming damage back to nearby monsters. These modifiers can add a defensive edge by punishing attackers with their own damage.

Flasks

This section displays all modifiers related to your Life and Mana Flasks, including how much recovery they provide and the duration of their effects. These modifiers help you understand the efficiency and impact of your flask usage.

Charges

This section displays your current charges and the maximum number of charges you can have at a time. It also lists modifiers that enhance the stats provided by active charges or allow you to gain new types of charges.

The default charge types are:

  • Endurance Charges: Provide physical damage reduction and elemental resistance.
  • Power Charges: Increase critical strike chance.
  • Frenzy Charges: Boost attack speed, cast speed, and damage.

Miscellaneous

The Miscellaneous section lists important stats that don’t belong to a specific category. For example, movement speed and other general attributes will be displayed here.
