How to Get the Nemesis Exotic Sniper Rifle in The Division 2
The Nemesis is one of the most powerful weapons in The Division 2, and one of the best Exotics in the game. This exotic sniper rifle was added as part of the Tidal Basin update, and its powerful damage and unique talents make it a must-have for snipers. To get your hands on the Nemesis, you will need to complete a multi-stage process that involves progressing through different stages of the game, completing missions, and defeating certain bosses.
The Division 2 Nemesis Exotic Sniper Talents
The Nemesis comes with some powerful talents that make it an absolute beast in battle. Here are the key talents:
- Counter-Sniper: Shots fired deal 0-100% weapon damage depending on how long the trigger is held. The time to reach max weapon damage is reduced whenever a shot misses an enemy.
- Nemesis: Aiming at an enemy marks them as your nemesis for 15 seconds, allowing you to see them through walls. Your shots gain +5% damage for each second they are marked, up to a maximum of 50% damage.
- Preparation: While holstered, gain +25% headshot damage when scoped with your current weapon.
These talents, combined with 1kk+ damage, make the Nemesis a monster sniper rifle.

How to Get the Nemesis Exotic Sniper Rifle in The Division 2
Obtaining the Nemesis requires a multi-step process. Here's how to get it:
Step 1: Reach World Tier 4 or Lvl 40
You need to progress through the game to World Tier 4. Once you reach this tier, you’ll need to complete the Tidal Basin stronghold. Play through the story mode until you reach the end, which will unlock World Tier 5.
Step 2: Complete the Invaded Missions
Next, complete the three new Invaded missions that will unlock the Capitol Building stronghold. Play through the mission to access Tidal Basin again, this time on your chosen difficulty.
Step 3: Find the Black Tusk Keycard
After clearing the first part of the Tidal Basin mission, you will be directed to Manny Ortega, who tells you to patch ISAC into a laptop. Go upstairs in the building and find the Black Tusk Keycard on the two-tiered bunkbed.
Step 4: Access the Locked Door
Once you’ve cleared the hovercraft cargo bay and are instructed to go through a door, go left instead of right. You’ll find a locked door with an electronic keypad. Use the Black Tusk Keycard to open the door.
Inside, you’ll find the Adrestia SR-1 high-end marksman rifle. Dismantle it to obtain the exotic component: Marksman Rifle: Scope – The Tally.
Step 5: Defeat the Three Named Bosses
To get the remaining parts of the Nemesis, you will need to defeat three named Black Tusk bosses:
- Prime in the Invaded Capitol Building stronghold. He drops the Marksman Rifle: Barrel – The Scourge.
- Shorty in the Invaded Roosevelt Island stronghold. He drops the Marksman Rifle: Bolt.
- Klutz in the Invaded District Union Arena stronghold. He drops the Marksman Rifle: Stock – The Bridle.
Note: The Invaded strongholds rotate each week, so you can only farm the available parts in the current rotation.
Step 6: Obtain the Nemesis Blueprint
Finally, after collecting all three parts, you’ll need to get the Nemesis blueprint. To do this, complete the Invaded Grand Washington Hotel mission. Kill Puck, the early boss, who has a chance to drop the Nemesis blueprint. If he doesn’t drop it, keep trying until you get it.
Conclusion
Once you have all the parts and the blueprint, head to the crafting station to create your Nemesis sniper rifle! This is one of the best sniper rifles in The Division 2, with a massive damage potential and powerful talents that make it perfect for long-range sniping.
